I get lots of emails asking me to insert ads for spurious junk into this blog, but I don't believe in it. If you enjoy this blog and would like to 'pay' something then you could buy one of my books, review it on Amazon, or buy me a book from my Amazon wish list. To those who have done this, I am very grateful. Thanks.

And a Happy New Year to yourselves – I’m pleased to be a Blogshank regular – it certainly keeps me entertained (though not always amused – which is cool).
Personal favourites from the archives are ‘nasty-man’, ‘pooh-in-bag’ and ‘designer-brain-hari-kiri’.
Keep it up – would love to read your MA proposal.
Cheers
MG
Thanks Mike. They’re my favourites too. One of the things I’d like to do is put the best ones onto a separate page, otherwise they get pushed too far out of sight, which is a shame. (I never did find out who Nasty man was.)
In the next few months on the MA we’re supposed to be concentrating on ‘sequential images’, so I might post some of them up here if they’re not too crap.
Hope you have a great 2009. Hopefully we’ll see you at some point.

New diary… phew
Also, I think I have seen Nasty Man in Tishka a few times. If it is indeed he, he’s there most Saturdays, monologuing loudly at a coterie of female rowers whom I assume he coaches.
Happy New Year!

Cheers Helen. I’m surprised you could recognise him from my dodgy drawing. I’ll have to get down there one Saturday and give him one of my cold hard stares.
Mike
you found me, now I’ve found you!
Lovely stuff – I shall be returning too.
We’ve got a canal boat (30ft Springer), but it’s much to small to live on. Instead we just spend money on it. Call in if you are ever on the Peak Forest Canal!
Jim
Thanks Jim! Who was it who said owning a boat is like standing in a puddle tearing up twenty pound notes?!
mike, just found blogshank tonight and have had my laugh therapy for the next month! Love your work so much! Will visit often…
Cheers,
Michelle
