I get lots of emails asking me to insert ads for spurious junk into this blog, but I don't believe in it. If you enjoy this blog and would like to 'pay' something then you could buy one of my books, review it on Amazon, or buy me a book from my Amazon wish list. To those who have done this, I am very grateful. Thanks.

Ah yes – a personal favourite. A religious ceremony (bar mitsvah, wedding etc) where half the congregation are devoted followers of the particular faith; the other half are relatives and friends who go to church about five times in their whole lifetime. I went to a wedding at an evengelical baptist church a few years back which was hilarious. Various aged relatives looking on in shock whilst the congregation praised the lord in their own particular way. No ‘Songs Ancient & Modern’ to be heard. And if anyone can explain the bit in bar mitsvah’s to me where we throw sweets at the kids I’d be grateful.
This is a great image. The view point is just right and the decorative elements work well to tell the story. Totally envious…
Thanks john, that’s very kind.
