I get lots of emails asking me to insert ads for spurious junk into this blog, but I don't believe in it. If you enjoy this blog and would like to 'pay' something then you could buy one of my books, review it on Amazon, or buy me a book from my Amazon wish list. To those who have done this, I am very grateful. Thanks.

Fabulous.
Thanks Dave.
Help! I’m turning into a merchant of ‘the funny things kids say’!
I remember a sketch on telly once where Mel Smith played a businessman eating lunch and having a serious businessy conversation, but he was eating like a baby. It was just hilarious. Can’t find it on youtube sadly.
Hi Mike, I found your blog after seeing your work at CSA (I graduated from the MA last year) and have been reading and loving it ever since. Just thought I would comment today as I saw your comment about the Mel Smith sketch and wanted to say you can find it about 5 minutes in here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuOZ7K0pZlI. Absolutely hilarious!
Alex
Great to see that again, thanks Alex. I don’t know how you found it. I love the bit where he repeatedly throws the spoon on to the floor!
I hope the MA was good for you, and you’re doing something exciting now. I’ve got very fond memories of that time, and the friends I made.
Mike
