It is especially important when you are a minority group that is occasionally attacked, derided or persecuted (albeit by an ignorant minority). It's not all bad though: The liveaboard community is the most neighbourly (and most diverse!) community I have ever had the pleasure to live in :-) “Liveaboards” is the term that people who live on any kind of boat frequently use to describe themselves.

Good job the rowers don't use those or someone might think they were from them: clearly liveaboards are the culprit. Nasty, dirty, freeloading, litterbug, environmentally aware, frugal, tree hugging, socially responsible liveaboards! R Hmmm… went to the water point tonight.
