I had 'the snip' a few years back for family reasons - no more autistic kids please. Several weeks after the 'op' you have to have a fresh sample tested to confirm the op had been successful. Rather than the 'mad dash' as illustrated on blogshank - I think the sample has to be < 1 hr old? - I elected to 'knock-one-off' in the toilets at the hospital. Got to the hospital - the only cubicle I could find was in close proximity to the WRVS station where they sell cups of tea, magazines (no - not that sort) sweeties etc. Only a painfully thin wall seperated the toilets from the purple rinsed volunteers. So I did what nature didn't intend whilst listening to every word of some elderly ladies passing the time of day < 3 feet away. Slightly bizarre, moderately disturbing and memorable, all at the same time. Good luck with the kiddie quest.
