Speaking as someone who almost came to blows over a chest of drawers, I loved this. I think you should photocopy it and scatter copies around Ikea to let people know that there’s someone out there who understands.

Thanks! And that’s a very lovely comment coming from someone as talented as you Dave. I wasn’t sure if anyone at all would ‘get it’. Bill Bailey once said ‘I never want to get married because I don’t want to spend my Sunday afternoons standing in IKEA arguing about spoons.’ That always makes me laugh.

My rare encounters with Ikea assembly instructions have always made me despair at their misuse of the comics medium (kind of) in an effort to avoid the costs of having translations made of word-based instructions. Particularly fabulous, then, to have those examples of bad comics inspire this instance of very good comics. I bow down, sir.
