But as they said it is only issue zero, and maybe it will start to balance out a bit more in future issues. I'm gutted that all the main characters of which you can tell the sex are male, with the sole exception of the pretty young orphan in the Pangaea story. Every time there's an animal character and you can't tell whether it's meant to be a boy animal or a girl animal, you just read along a little bit till you hit a pronoun and *oh yeah, it's a he, because that's just the default*. I bet no one at Phoenix has even noticed this because, you know, *having all the protagonists be male is just the default*. I just got my free issue zero.
