Years ago, at a sad time after my husband had left us, I took my kids and a bin-bag to a tree-filled park on a windy day. We raced around most of the afternoon, red-faced and laughing and caught 100 leaves. 100 happy days for us, I told them. We've had much more than that!

Yes! And I would like to point out that after the events depicted here I changed my behaviour: I stopped gawping at my phone while I'm walking along, and a couple of days later I caught a leaf.

I remember those days! We had such fun with dandylion clocks, rosehips, and, as you say - dried leaves. A lump of chalk was a dream and skipping ropes would keep groups of girls happy for hours... and those hoops and sticks! Wonderful.
