		<description>Very strange that this blog post has been quite popular. I thought most people would think I&#039;m a nutcase but it seems to have struck a chord.

I like having a long wooden pole to prop the line up when I&#039;ve finished, old-fashioned style. It&#039;s like putting the artwork on display. Also any painting or photo showing washing on a line cannot fail to be interesting.

I think part of the problem is that a lot of rotary washing lines are badly made.</description>

My decisions about which items get pegged where sometimes also factor in which areas have best sunlight at which times of day, and which areas are beneath overhanging trees and thus more vulnerable to bird poo (I try to fill those bits with socks rather than, say, sheets or towels).
