I get lots of emails asking me to insert ads for spurious junk into this blog, but I don't believe in it. If you enjoy this blog and would like to 'pay' something then you could buy one of my books, review it on Amazon, or buy me a book from my Amazon wish list. To those who have done this, I am very grateful. Thanks.

i hear you mike .. I feel just the same about maxy .. Even though he loves to eat poo x
I’m just so relieved that part two didn’t reveal that he HAD died! Lovely as usual. x
Jo,
You share Mike’s sense of comic timing!
And I think all pet owners think about it. Typically insightful stuff, Mike.

You capture everything that goes through every dog/pet owners mind. I’d be lost without my 2 crazy mutts!
Great work as usual Mike!
Parts 1 and 2 were both meaningful and done well. I have a crazy spaniel, Jasper, and I would be lost without him too.
Since my last post, one of my springers has had to go into vets for a collapsed lung and fluid in the other, she is not even 6 so not the news I was expecting, she is in over the weekend so hoping for the best! I came back to your blog for comfort knowing I’m not the only dog owner who goes through heartache….. thanks.
