Just the other day the postman delivered advance copies of my children’s book, due to be published in May by Macmillan. Forgive me if I plug it a bit here as it’s very exciting and has been years in the making.

In the next few weeks I’ll post some pictures from the book to get everybody whipped up into a frenzy of excitement.

I’ve just designed this cover for a novel written by my brother. It’s a comedy about ‘football’s last taboo’ — a gay player who comes out — and quite timely given recent news.

The Guardian website recently requested some readers’ experiences of being self-employed. I sent them an offering which predictably they didn’t use, so I thought I’d post it here. Maybe they thought it was too trite.
