I get lots of emails asking me to insert ads for spurious junk into this blog, but I don't believe in it. If you enjoy this blog and would like to 'pay' something then you could buy one of my books, review it on Amazon, or buy me a book from my Amazon wish list. To those who have done this, I am very grateful. Thanks.

I’ve been enjoying your diary cartoons for several months now but the last panel of this one really nails everything about being a parent. 18 Years ago I would have been you in the first panel, 9 years ago my daughter arrived and two years ago my son arrived. Both terrifying experiences in many ways but also the best thing to happen to my life. Like I say, thanks for nailing it.
Mike could you produce a collection of these parenting spreads? It would be the world’s best handbook…so many of us relate to what you are experiencing and it would be a fantastic present for new parents too. Ps How did the private view go? x
The private view went quite well. Lots of publishers there (collective noun: a hobnob of publishers) and I chatted to a few. Hard to be sure how well my stuff went down, as they tend to be very complimentary by default. Apparently the show in general was very well received. Also met a couple of ex students that I’d heard about but never met, which was good.
